ENABLING SUSTAINABLE FOOD SECURITY IN SIERRA LEONE
The Agricultural Market Information System (AMIS) is established to prevent agricultural post-harvest loss by serving as an efficient and effective enabler for farmer product sales with the aim of increasing farmer productivity and ensuring sustainable food security in Sierra Leone and as well as increasing the livelihoods of the farm families and rural communities.
The AMIS also will accordingly help inform the Government of Sierra Leone, The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, SCaDeP, World Bank and other donor partners in a visual display about gains made in the seasonal harvest and help identify weak agricultural product production areas to invest in to meet food sufficiency in Sierra Leone.
Sustainable Farmer Livelihood is our goal at MAF.
AGRICULTURE MATTERS TO THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF SIERRA LEONE
ONE AGRICULTURAL MARKET STOP
The Agriculture Market Information System captures both primary and secondary market data supplied by partner institutions for best visualization. It serves as a comfort to the buyers/consumers by making agricultural harvests readily available and as well as making the farmer self-sufficient.
